Hello all,
A comment from Harry's Dad in another post got me thinking... where might my iguana be from? He was a rescue from Wal-Mart (of all places - he was purchased as a juvenile about 4" svl and is now about 10" svl - probably fared better than any other igs sold from that batch), anyway I digress... where was I? Anyway, I suspect he was farm-bred, but I'm wondering from where, perhaps Central America or more South America. His distinguishing characteristics at this point in time (approx. age 1 3/4 years) are: Still brilliant green, with tints of blue on the head and subtympanic scale, a prominent double nose "horn", very high crest (spines 1" high at highest point), rather thick-bodied and muscular. So, does anyone have any ideas if locality affects certain traits such as nuchal crest and the like? Lemme know what you think.
Cheers,
Matt Campbell
