Potty training

I've just bought a huge new home from Cages by Design for Merlin and Blackberry, my 2 1/2 yr. old iggys. I'd like to find a way to make cleaning up after these two very messy friends just a little easier. I've heard of toilet training iggys - that's not my goal! But does anyone know a way to convince them to "go" in a designated area? Is there any material I could use, such as cedar shavings, etc, that I might be able to get them to use? Any imput would be great! Thanks.
