Well, John, the choice for me would be easy. Do you want an interactive pet that with proper care can be your companion for the next 20 years? If so, get an iguana. If you want a somewhat fragile pet that is pretty to look at but doesn't tolerate a good deal of handling and stress and may live 3 years with proper care, get a chameleon. I've only known a few people to have really good luck with chams. If you do decide on a cham, may I suggest a Veiled, they seem to be the hardiest.
