There will be problems with Egg Binding regardless if you try to bread them or not. I am not sure how to pick a nice IG. I got very lucky with mine. He has been a wounderful pet. I have to watch him during his breading season because he tries to bit everything. But regardless he is one of the best pets that I have had. If you don't want something that grows as big as a IG - have you considered a Water Dragon? They don't get as big - but they do crickets. I like the one that I have, although I still like my IG more. I guess I just think that the IG has more of a personality. Good luck in your decision.
