The iguana has not been to a vet yet... I made those diagnosses on my own.. judging from my knowledge.. (which is not as little as some may believe).. and in comparison to another Iguana the school gave us last year that had the same problems.. which HAD been to a vet. and I'm not sure if I will be able to get him to one. I only know of 1 somewhere in my area.. (refferrals are welcome thanx).. but since he was in the school science department... there's not a lot I can do for him.. and I'm actually not allowed to take him to a vet on my own..... and the school is 2 cheap to allow him to go there. (even if I offered to pay)... so for the moment... until I can get a fundraiser to raise money so the school WILL take him 2 a vet.. I have to try to keep him alive... (which unfortunatley is harder than it sounds) ... someone told me they heard u could use Listerine for the mouth rot.. which is inside of his mouth... but his WHOLE face is swollen.. and when I recieved him this morning..he could not even swollow his kale.. (part of his problem is that the teacher who was taking care of him didn't kno what to feed him so he is somewhat malnutritied.. (sp??)..) I've added some fruits and other vegies.. (which have been softened and slightly mashed up for him) that our other iguana's seemed to enjoy... but I'm running out of idea's.. (well useful ones at least).. if u still have any other suggestions please let me kno.. or if u've had a similar problem in the past.. please tell me what u did.. thanx a lot everyone for ur help!!!
