Well...I typed up a ton of info...then deleted it all...just because I feel so strongly about the need for this iguana to see a herp vet and all my typing wouldn't make a difference because of the seriousnes of his condition. His mouth hurts because the mouthrot. Kale is not a good staple food for him. Dehydration is another consideration you didn't mention. Listerine is not as effective as Betadine. Try these websites for info on mouthrot, MBD,dehydration issues addressed at Melissa Kaplan's website, may want to post at VARANUS...Shannon Nelson is very helpful! after reading do what you gotta do based on your reading....After reading all the "igsperts" info hopefully they will be able to convince you more than I of the seriousness of his probs and the need for perscribed medications....I guess Im being a poophead...but Leigh I AM really trying to help you...I just think that this poor thing must see a vet. Im sorry.
