What do you do when people say you shouldn't have an iguana?

I've had a lot of negative reactions from people when I tell them I have an iguana. Once I told somebody I had an iguana, and they told me I had no right to have an iguana. They said an iguana is a wild animal and should not be made into a pet. It made me feel really awful. And then when I see things like what was on MSNBC tonight(about the wild animal black market), I feel like I am doing something wrong. I don't know. I was just wondering if you guys have had people say this to you, and if so, what did you say in your defense?
