: I will not be a hypocrite and pretrend there si a hell of a lot of difference between my storing mice, and once in a while using a live one if needed, and havin someone shoot cows and birds for my snakes and lizards.
Some of us that own carnivores(strict order) take offense at those who sugest that they do not make good pets, simply because of thier diet. Again, if you are not prepared to offer the food it needs(or that a tegu needs more than crix and veggies/fruits), simply stick witrh the veggie boys. They are beutiful, and there are a wide range of them. Just don't think that the reson I own a carnivor is to watch it eat(it is kinda cool to see the mechanics of it with turky diet-the dragging, breaking, and gulping), and don't say carnivors don't make good pets becuase you need to feed stuff to them. Christ, most good dog/cat foods contain meat, I think. The only difference is YOU dont kill it. That simple. But don't pretend it's different because it was not you. This is not knockin buyin prekilled- I prefer it to save spcae, $$ and time. It's just that I can't stand people who think the are better because they don't dop thier own dirty work
Again, if you dislike meat eaters, or omnivores(they need meat too), stick with the strict order veggie dudes. Just dont tell me I should not have the meat eaters.
