Hey,lets settle down some people,,as everyone knows,we also have monitors and they are some of the best kids we have and we have bds also.We do feed live food to them and strive for a good well rounded meal for them.Tooo much protein is not good for a monitor,fatty liver and kidney problems from high proteins.Like any other living thing,they need varity and balanced meals.We even cook up some veggies in the eggs for our monitor and our bds also eat veggies and greens and get superworms as a treat as well as waxworms.If feeding live bothers you(it bother me & Dan),well them feed them frozen ones thawed.JMHO
