this sounds ALOT like it's just a MALE iguana! i know when iZ 1st "exposed" himself to me, i about had heart failure and thought his guts were coming out too ~ especially cuz i was told HE was a SHE!

male igs have TWO penises (penii?) ... it's called a hemipenes ... my iZ is about 4yo now and for the last 2 yrs, likes to evert (push out) his hemipenes momentarily everytime he goes to the bathroom (i think he likes the warm water!!!)... males igs will also evert them at other times when it's mating season ...

hemipenes DO look ~really weird~!!! doesn't look like something that ~should~ be coming out (LOL) but it's perfectly ok + natural ... it's NOT someting to worry about, unless for some reason, the hemipenes don't go back in by themselves fairly quickly ...

my guess is your friend just found out the ~real~ sex of her ig!
