Treats

First I will state that a little knowledge is a VERY dangerous thing...Now...I am still reading Hatfields book and I ran across where he mentions giving lettuce to igs just for a treat. He said not to often because they can become addicted. It has the texture of some of the igs natural food and that they just go nuts for it, even though there is NO nutritional value. Sneakers was out today and she had already eaten her GOOD salad so I thought I would give this a try. Holy Moly she nearly took off my fingers to eat that little piece of lettuce. She has never reacted this way to treats before.

OK...This gets me to thinking...heres the dangerous part...if most igs react this way to lettuce could this be used to get them to take medicine, for hydration, or getting to eat good foods? You know like applying meds on the lettuce, using it as a taco with good stuff inside, or spraying it heavily with water when there dehydrated? Could it cause diarrhea if used in this manor?

Any newbie reading this, please remember lettuce is a big no no. This was just a test. Do not feed lettuce as part of their regular salad!
