This is the way I see it plants,fruit trees flowers dogs etc..have been cross bred,line bred and stabilized into many various "cultivars" and were just extending this into the reptile world.(but I come from a strong botany backround so crossing species doesnt bother me.regardless of which kingdom its in.)
