That's an immense generalization! It may be applicable for most of the carolina complex, but definitely not for the ornata turtles. :) Here's a picture of typical Nebraska ornata habitat. Not a tree in sight!
I wouldn't put a box turtle into the described terrarium unless you were dissatisfied with the setup and wanted to undertake extensive remodeling! :)
