I agree with Ed. There have been reports of wild ornate box turtles in Louisiana, where there are many trees and no plains. The humidity here is also high.

:you find one animal in that habitat and that is where it is found??????
:One thing I've learned is that 1- the animals don't read the books and 2 - many of these animals are very adaptable.
