I am totally new to reptiles. I have not bought one yet, but I am interested in finding one that meets the following criteria:

1. Easy to care for (i.e. will be for my 9 yr old kiddo).
2. Adult size 2 feet or SMALLER.
3. Hardy (as in i'd like an animal that is not easily stressed)
4. Does not require exotic food (i.e. nothing more exotic than crickets).
5. Is not venemous!!
6. Is not agressive!!
7. Will not run too fast to be caught (if it were to escape its cage)

I probably will have other criteria, but these are the main ones. I realize this is the beginner lizard forum, but if anyone has any other reptile-only suggestions that fit the above, please include those as well.

Thanks in advance!
Lorraine
