This a very common and tragic problem. Worms can be very addicting. And sadly, mealworms are one of the worst feeders you can give. They're virtually void of any nominal nutrition, and their chitin levels make them difficult to digest. At all times you must try to vary an Anole's diet. Never go for long periods of time feeding it one insects. Always vary the diet. Crickets may be decent feeders, but they're not that great.

What you may want to try for a short duration, is to force your Anole to go back to crickets. This is important because the mealworms are really bad, and you need your Anole to wean off of then as soon as possible. Tempt him with crickets that you dangle with tongs or something similar. After a while, the mere sight of moving insects should attract his attention, especially when all he cares about is filling his belly. If it gets to the point where he still won't eat crickets, and the clock is ticking, you should try your darndest to invest in some healthier worms, such as tiny silkworms.

Once he begins eating normally, from that point forward you may want to vary the diet. Small silkworms, small butterworms, "starved" waxworms, small crickets, and even nymph lobster roaches are all fair game.
