are u kidding me?? Leos thrive on a diet of strictly mealworms. One of the biggest breeders of leos in the hobby feeds strictly mealworms as well as many other people. I do agree a varied diet is best but it is perfectly fine to feed only mealworms. And to say that feeding mealies is punishment??? That is just ridiculous.
