Thanks for you views on the wild caught issue. You're right about the green rats range, for the most part you can't get a car or even hike into half of the Santa ritas. I'm also being hypocritical by even owning snakes as I'm sure they didn't wild catch themself. But this is a time in the hobby that you can buy just about anything you want (unless there's no money in them) from somebody as captive bred.
One other thing I want to say about keeping things pure (I'm stealing this from KJ). Even if you went out and found two snakes mating and brought them home, the next year you breed them you're still breeding a pair of snakes that would have never bred with one another again. And that's the end of keeping them pure, if in fact you're saying pure in the sence of untouched by people?
