: I'm assuming you're talking about Senticolis triaspis? I have a female that unfortunately was wild caught about 4 or 5 years ago. I am very happy to have her I just wish I owned her for other reasons than somebodys lack of respect for this snake (You're not picking up my fellings towards wild caught snakes here are you:).

: This year I bred her with a 3 year old male that was also wild caught. She's about 327grams and I'm guessing 7 years old. She laid 6 eggs with a 100% hatch rate after a normal incubation period of 60 days I belive it was. From what I've heard this is a snake that may not lay eggs for you every year and has a small clutch of 4-6 eggs. With it's small range in the US that's why I'm so against people taking them from the wild. All the info I'm giving you is based on my limited working with western green rats and I'm sure if you were to ask somebody like B.H.B. who breeds them much more you would get a lot more info.

: Good luck!!

Hey now, lets lay off of the bashing of those who collect wild caught reptiles. Some people like to have and maintain collections of specific populations within a species. Eventually most of everything will be plowed over and converted into golf courses, homes, shopping malls and farms and when that does happen, our society will appreciate those who have " lacked respect " for the animals by taking them from the wild. I too, live in Arizona and have personally collected triaspis. Their habitat is relatively untouched by human habitation and much of their habitat is not even accessible by motor vehicles. As long as the habitat is preserved, the Green Ratsnakes will continue to flourish, and it is our responsibility, as herpers, to preserve as many pure bloodlines as possible. That is my opinion, a not so very popular opinion anymore, we live in a society now where everything is handed to us and we dont even think about how we really got what we have now. I am not wanting to start an argument, just give my personal standpiont on the subject. Thanks
