HELP!!!!!Can someone give me some advise?

Today I caught a 4 1/2 foot Rat snake. When I first caught it, it didn't have a problem with me holding it and didn't try and stike at me. I placed her in a Aquarium with a locking lid. Just walking by the aquarium causes her to stike the glass. How can I get her out to handle her and try and tame her down without being bitten. What household idems can I use to hold her head down while I grab her? Will she tame down? I really cant aford to get bit by her because me mother as it is hates my snakes that I have and any agressive snake has to go. I have 2 garder snakes, 1 kingsnake and 1 blind snake. I know a little about snakes and would like to keep this rat snake
