Good escape artists? In a word: YES! Right up there with the best, and stronger than you can believe! A 4 1/2' snake is a tough nut. Not as strong as my 5' boa but still impressive! Good luck, just go slowly and don't ever totally trust any snake and you'll be OK! Check out care sheets here on Kingsnake and feed frozen or prekilled mice/rats if she'll take 'em. Give her a week before you try feeding. Hope this helps, happy herping!
