Have you tried rats and mice yet? Before jumping the gun, that should be the first option. Many will accept small rat PINKS out-of-the-wild. Although a better option that breeding natural prey (eg, different genera of wild mice) it can still get expensive giving a snake 8-12 pink rats a week. (BUT, that is one of the responsibilites we herpers take when we decide to first collect the animal, isn't it?)
Matter of fact, lots of snakes seem to get "imprinted" on rat pinks. We've even started maintaining a colony of hairless rats to help us with that problem.
