Can someone out there tell me the difference between a black rat and a Texas rat besides their geographic distinctions? Someone recently told me they have a leucistic black rat and when I told them they probably had a Texas rat, they were insistant about it being a black rat. Of course, I understand that basically they look different, but how would you tell if they were leucistic? Is there a key out there that will tell me the difference?
