mandarin rats- why?

Most ratsnakes have a pattern which could could be construed as camoflauge. But the pattern on mandarins seems to scream- here I am! How does being dressed like a bumblebee help them survive? Is there a bright yellow and black cobra in China? Do they live somewhere with neon colored rocks? Just wonderin'
And yes, I've got one around my wrist right now :D.
