Not to be a smart aleck or anything, but the pattern is a little familiar to me now. After three years of keeping them and asking similar questions, I look at it this way. If the yellow, or lightest color were expanded and then went all the way around the snake, it would basically be a tricolored snake, like a tricolor king. ASAMOF, I think Mandarins and conspics are most like kings of any Asian rats. My humble opinion :) TC.
