Again, my point is why risk it. Maybe you have been lucky, but I have had an animal get impacted from shavings and it wasn't a mouthful, it was a small amount. Also, why would you want to stress the snake out by reaching in while it is feeding and flicking off aspen shavings? People will do what they want no matter, my point is I would much rather feed my snakes on a clean container or hide box and not risk loosing an animal
