I have three gony's, the two males are doing wonderfully but the female for the last year has been having shedding problems. After manually shedding it, I found it had four or five layers of shedding on it still. It also has a type of infection on/in the cloaca(looks like black hardened faeces). But after taking the snake to the vet who scraped it and found that the skin underneath was rotting. Samples where taken and nothing was found. The snake has been deparasitized with flagyl and panacur(fendendazole) to no avail. I have read everything that was said about the humidity and i don't think that is my problem. However I think that the snake has a problem with drinking from its waterbowl, as it drinks vigorously when sprayed.
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
THANKS.... Karen
