Dont worry about them not drinking from the water bowl...as long as they drink from the mister and you do it regularly they should be fine...Ive never encountered the problem with the rotting issue but possibly BillH has and can be of some help...are yours silvers or greens? My silvers always have to be hand shed...dont usually have that problem with my greens though.....you can email me privately if you like and if Bill doesnt respond I can give him a call and maybe you two can talk about it.....I have a silver male that I have to actually put his head in the water bowl to get him to drink...the others will drink from the bowl and the mister..Sorry i couldnt be of more help.
