Funny, that sounds just like what *I* said in a previous post. So what exactly is the "high horse" I'm riding?

It's not just my definition. Check any dictionary you like to see if it isn't an apt description for what you did.

Is that REALLY all you think you did? If so, maybe you should go back and read what you wrote again in a couple of days. Just for added fun, try to imagine yourself a member of the profession you maligned and see what you think.

I have no desire to judge you or your actions for ANY reason, but I won't sit idly by while someone rumor mongers about my profession. Perhaps one of the reasons so much nonsense is said about scientists is partially because so few are willing to stand up against it - but that's decidedly not me. For that matter, I think it's pretty disgusting behavior to hurl unfounded accusations against people of ANY profession, be they scientists, plumbers, doctors, whatever, and I'm reasonably likely to call anyone on it whenever I see it.

And I you. If you like, think of my contribution to this thread as my effort to help you become a better person. Believe it or not, I'd welcome such criticism of my own behavior when it is warranted. In any event, I've either gotten through to you or I haven't; I see no reason to continue with this further.
