I work for a large grocery chain. We have these safety tests. They are pretty dumb, just common sense. Everybody fills them out, puts them in a box and every quarter a winner is chosen at random and gets a cheap little prize. Although they're dumb you'd think they would at least see if you got the answers right before awarding the prize. This latest test had 4 pictures and you had to say what the saftey violation was. In one of the pictures was a womans skirt, leg and high heel shoes next to a spill on the floor. Of course the correct answer was "clean up the spill" but I decided to see just how seriously the company takes these little tests. I drew hair on the womans leg and filled in my answer "men should not wear high heels". The long and short of it was today the DISTRICT safety supervisor, not just our stores safety surervisor but the one for the whole district, came in today and presented me with the award for winning the safety test: a little handheld fan. Yippie! Now I have a little information about our safety program and I have at least one fan. And if anybody likes this story I can thank my fan.GMAR.
