:> ... My integrity is being questioned and so I have related what I have seen with my own eyes...

:At the risk of being pushy about it... If that was your intent in rumor mongering about the scientific profession, I have to tell you that I very much doubt it did anything to boost folks' opinion of your integrity. Lots of people THINK they make themselves look better by tearing down others, but they're wrong; usually in fact it has the OPPOSITE effect. And make no mistake about it, making vague but serious accusations of widespread scientific misconduct with no substantiation whatsoever as you did is no more and no less than rumor mongering.

:> ... My intent is to have fun and share what I have with others...

:Mine, too. But unfortunately disagreements will arise even among people of the best intentions, and sometimes those disagreements will become heated. The real measure of one's character isn't what anyone else thinks or says of him/her, but rathe how s/he acts in times of such adversity. Fortunately we all have the ability to learn from past mistakes, should we choose to exercise it...

I agree with you for the most part. I did not think I was making myself look better by tearing someone else down. Someone told me that I was unable to identify a snake with my own eyes. They said that I needed a DNA test to identify what we in KY call a cowsucker. I do not need a scientist to help me identify a cowsucker with DNA testing, especially when they, like all human beings including myself have drives and emotions that make it impossible for them to act rationally 100% of the time. It should come as no surprise to anyone that there is corruption in every situation where there are human beings, including science. Come off your high horse sir. Your industry is no different than any other in that it is driven by human desires. By your definition I may be a rumor monger, but I was simply making a statement that I think anyone who can reason 10% of the time can clearly see could be the case. I agree that how one acts in times of adversity reveals their true character. If you decide to judge me because I have said something negative about your profession that is unfortunate. If you said something bad about mine, I may agree with just agree with you, especially if it was true. For me, this is not a time of adversity. We are simply in disagreement. It is no big deal, and I am rational enough to still consider you a good guy who is just doing the best he can. If you can't do the same for me, that is on your conscience.
