It is important to note that feeding any amphibian mice should only be used as a treat. If you provided the right variety of foods and supplementation there's no reason to have a need to feed an amphibian a mouse. The problem with mice, and especially pinkies is that they are high in fat. They also are high in vitamin A. and amphibians fed too many mice will eventually develop metabolic bone disease. If you read the paper about a month ago you would have seen that they have found out that too much vitamin A in a person's diet will lead to brittle bones, just like amphibians!
