Firstly I'm not an expert on remedies! I wish I was! However, once I know what
the remedie contains I can usually make an educated guess as to whether it's ok.
Sodium chlorite NaClO2 is used in effluent treatmenat (sewage, etc) because it kills
bacteria and fungi. It's a bit like a mild bleaching agent. It should be safe to
use with water dogs since it's not directly toxic but rather it is "caustic" - It could
damage the animals gills slightly, so don't go over the recommended dosage.
Are you sure that's all that's in the treatment though?
