Most of the stores I've been to house there herps on sand. And I'm pretty sure if they are dieing they arn't die from the sand :-D
There are much worst things you can do to a leo then simply house it one the 'horrible' sand.
-thats a good question actually how many deaths are caused by impacton from sand.
heh, I sure there are other things here in this world of kingsnake's Leopard Gecko forum that no one here seems to have proof of either...
I don't use sand, but just because I think it makes a little more of a mess . And we almost always have a ton of papertowels.
BUT I have put my geckos on sand because I had a bag of it, And I find that they don't try eat the sand as long as they have had a dish calcium and vitamins to eat from.
