They also are not consistent producers and only average about five or six eggs. I have been keeping snakes now for nearly forty years and I always find it amusing when I read some of the posts. I purchased my first indigo in 1963 from Ross Allen for $5.00! Some people refer to the Black Pine snakes as the poor mans indigo....back in 1963 Black Pines sold for $500.00! My how things have changed. :>)
