to local and not subspecies!! I too had the privledge of herping there in the late 60's. As a matter of fact, the famous Mr Bennett, Karls companion on many of his trips confiscated all our camping equipement. That was the tail end of a wonderful era. I can remember driving down there from Ohio in my gremlin and get gas for .22c a gallon.
