Heating the Cages of TX and FL Indigoes- #1 in Importance

I use an under,outside the cage heating pad but it seems the snakes do not always find it or lay on it especially with the position of the hide box-seems like they move the box away from it- Any hints also to the positioning of overhead light source , positioning of thermom and optimum temps - My vet says 90 degrees for S TX Indigoes - I am a little confused on this- The vet says that they regurge lunch if not at least this temp- Dean and Fred, comments? thanks a lot.
