I agree with Fred (duh! I usually do!) but I do think you should
go about it a little differently ...

-dont use a glove ... let your snake get used to your smell. If you
approach slowly, directly, and calmly ... then you should be fine.

Regular handling will tame him down quickly I'm sure ... just give
him time to get used to you, and be firm yet gentle, he'll come
round in no time :)
