will he be more likely to handle the snake a lot? And also, can snakes pick up on fear? A person who is a little or a lot afraid of a snakebite and goes to pick the snake up will not be as surehanded which might scare the snake or make jerky movements that could induce a snake to strike. This snake might also be fine once you get him out of his home. Some snakes just get very possessive very quickly of their surroundings. Whatever you do, don't put your hand in front of the snake to let him smell you. They don't think like dogs and if he is hungry, he might try to eat you or he might perceive this as a threat by coming in front of him. Of course, this is just my opinion.
