Well, I really can't help with 1 or 3, but 2 is possible if I (we) knew what the cage set up was now. How about a picture or details? Also, concerning the geyri (niger or saharan uros) the belly area is more towards the white or light tan side with the females, and the males have more pronounced stripes on their bellies. I don't know for sure if this is with all species or not.
