Too many dead turtles :-(

I know its still a bit early for turtle searching, but I went looking at the peninsula(I live in Erie, PA) I saw a dead shoft shell turtle and one, not sure which kind, with iots head and one arm missing. It was sad. I also just talked to a guy who said a friend of his who does research founf over 12 dead map turtles in the area. Besides the two I found dead, I saw no others. This is really sad, and I have a feeling alot of it has to do with pollution. You wouldnt believe how much garbage I saw at one small pond right next to the ranger station!

Also, about the spotted turtle post right after this one, they are very endangered in this area and the fine is quite heavy!
