::I think it's the fact that white could be a "calcium possibility" in the mind of a tort.

::They won't eat above half a dozen at anyone sitting, but it does play hell when you weigh your tort, haveing to subtract 6 pebbles at 2gm each ;)

:::They are white rocks, so that's about right. Any idea why they only go for the light ones? Guess I'll be replacing what's there with something smaller so I will worry less. Thanks for the info.
