How do you expect to have a breeding colony when a few $$$ is an issue.
Do you think that we breeders have 100% ALWAYS healthy torts, even we get the occassional "problem" or two.

Your vets bills are sure to rise when you have more than one tort.

:I want to start breeding. I have a line on VERY good deals w/ a new tortoise however I can't tell if it is a m or f. Is there any way to make it happen? I have heard you can take it to a vet but that is $$$ and would defeat the purpose.
