I think Graham was asking a legitimate question. If you don't want to spend any extra money above purchase price on a tort don't own one. He is one of the most knowledgable people on this forum from what I can see. I don't think you can have a "nice little tortoise farm" when it comes to sulcattas. Have you really thought about breeding them and the space you will need to do so? I hope you have a big backyard. Why not consider breeding a smaller type of tortoise? There are already more sulcattas out there than homes. I am sure you will be able to sell the hatchlings but when they start to grow a lot of people find the need to rehome (This is in no way directed at anyone on this forum because the people that actually post on here care about their tortoises and are trying to do the right thing, I'm talking about the general public and those misinformed when they first buy the tortoise). Why add to the problem?
