First off search HIBERNATION, or BRUMATION on the search for this forum.

He just came out of hibernation, he knows what hes doing. I dont think Tegus need encouragment to come out. They thermoregulate, only they know whats going on with their body. YOu should have the basking temp from 100-120. The cold side at 75. He will come out when ready (make sure that his place is moist, where he sleeps)...
