alligator snapper inquiry

I was wondering....I have 2 common snappers now, along with several other species of turts, but I am interested in getting an Alligator Snapper. Any suggestions as to who the best supplier is? I've heard a lot of good things about John (Loggerhead Acres )@ turtleman.com.....

...also, I am debating between a hatchling, a yearling and one a little bit older....any pros or cons?
