i already have alot of large turtles, so when i decided to get an alligator snapper, i went with a hatchling because i could ease into its space requirements. my decision is that once its shell reaches 7 or 8 inches it will be moved into its large permenant pond. also, i want to try and get mine involved in a breeding program once it is "of age"
