Roll Call: Is Your (outdoor) Alligator Snapper Eating Yet?

My adult male may or may not be eating yet. I put 3 baby chickens in with him a few days ago. I found 2 of them floating tonight. I put two more in with him tonight and he seemed to avoid them. Both birds sunk this time. I checked later in the evening (by flashlight) and couldn't see them. Also he may be snacking on some of the shiners that are in there. I haven't been seeing as many lately. The water didn't feel cold or warm tonight. Temps have been in the low-mid 70's in the day and upper 50's at night. I'm still waiting on the fish hatchery to deliver my order of 40+ brim and bass. I'll report more if he eats any of this stuff. Anybody else care to give details on current appetites/ temps?
