I have my new KSB in a 10 gallon (I hopefully will find out age tomorrow) anyway, I have Aspen chips/ sand as substate. Problem is, tank is not warm enough. I have an undertank heater on one side and its barely hitting 80 degrees on the bottom. I have read past posting and found that you guys say a heat lamp wont help(it didn't, I tried it) So I bought a heat rock yesterday (some said ok, some said not) I read the pros and cons. It has an auto shut off if it gets to hot but my question is, if I Shove it under the substrate and even wrap a small towel or somthing around just in case, you think this will be ok? If not, any other ideas?
