Spraying once lightly in the evening is all you need, unless the room is really dry. If you do not want to spray a cool mist humidifier in the room would prob work nicely. Rain makers are just over kill, they are better for amphibians and larger setups. Either way the cage should dry in an hour or two after spraying. If it remains moist for long periods of time you increase the likely hood of mold and bacteria buildup.
